First Aldrich Star Party for 2021 a GREAT SUCCESS

Well the clouds finally cleared, and the wind finally died down to give us an opportunity to meet up face to face at our Observatory site for a long overdue Star Party. A good number of new and long-time members, with their guests, enjoyed an evening of observing under the stars with their own equipment and with the many telescopes the club owns.

This was the first of what we hope to be very many Star Parties we will enjoy together at the Observatory site this year. See some of the pictures below that were taken during the event.

  1. First time for me to attend a star event. Met some nice and smart folks. Thank you for the opportunity. I am looking forward to more.

  2. It was a awesome get together! The event was well planned with precautions taken for the covid virus, ensuring everyone felt comfortable for this long awaited social event.. I for one am most grateful for the help I received from people who knew more than I did.. I hope to show my appreciation with some astrophotography images before the year is out.. I have put out feelers for a couple of events and looking forward to what the society thinks in making that happen.. I suggest that others come up with ideas as well..

    Clear Skies Everyone!

  3. It was great to meet some new people and check out all the cool astro stuff. The 12.5” Dob was great but I can’t wait to try the 20” dob. Looking forward to our next observing session.
