International Space Station Transits – Solar and Lunar – 16″ x 20″ – Aluminum

Photographer: Len DiPinto

This is an 16 x 20″ picture on aluminum with a float mount (shown in picture) for easy wall hanging.

This collage shows the International Space Station transiting both the Moon and the Sun. Capturing transits of this type require the photographer to be within a few miles of the transit path on the earth that will provide for the correct alignment of the Space Station between the photographer and the moon or sun. There are a number of websites that will provide transit information for your area. The solar pictures were taken using a solar telescope.

Never look at the sun with a telescope without using special solar filters.
